'The Archive of Tactile Expression' is a speculative archive that exists in a future where our relationship with technology has become so intimate that it acts as our intermediary with the physical world. Everything has been virtualised. We’ve forgotten how it feels to touch. Human to human contact is stigmatised. Physical objects have been modelled and re-conceptualised into digital space.
The archive is categorised into three parts:
01 Texture Tactile spaces to introduce the feeling of 'touch' to the general public through diverse variety of materials.
02 Gesture A physical exploration into history of the multi-touch gestures we use on all modern forms of technology.
03 Action Rooms with interactive experiences based off basic collaborative, tactile expressions i.e. 'hug'
